This 1994 Blue Bird Wanderlodge is a Wide Body model that spent time in Florida before it was purchased by the current owner in 2020. The Blue Bird Body Company introduced the Wanderlodge series of bus-based motor coaches in 1963, and production continued through several redesigns until 2009. This 40′ Wide Body model is finished in multi-tone green with gold graphics and “Hooked on a Dream” lettering. Details include clearance and fog lights, perimeter lighting, window awnings, a retractable boarding step, and a receiver hitch. Polished 22.5″ wheels wear a mixed set of 315/80 Bridgestone and Michelin tires. The coach is equipped with a two-stage Jacobs engine brake, and the chassis has HWH leveling jacks. A Power Technologies Southeast 17.5-kW generator is mounted on a slide-out platform behind the front fascia, and additional infrastructure equipment includes a freshwater tank, waste tanks with remote dump controls, an onboard air compressor with convenience chucks, and connections for fresh water, waste disposal, and 50-amp electrical service. The air compressor was replaced in 2024.

The forward compartment houses power-adjustable captain’s chairs trimmed in beige leather upholstery. A central console has three drawers along with controls for the musical horn, sound system, and entry step features. Other equipment includes sliding side windows, a reverse-view monitor, cruise control, a brake monitor for a towed vehicle, a Kenwood CD stereo and digital signal processor, and a Cobra CB radio.

The leather-wrapped steering wheel is accented with pinstriping and sits ahead of an 85-mph speedometer, a 4k-rpm tachometer, supplementary gauges, and accessory control panels. The six-digit odometer shows 190k miles. The living quarters are outfitted with tile floors, white storage cabinets, polished brass accents, recessed lighting, and central air conditioning and heating. The forward lounge area houses a sofa, a sideboard with drawers, a swiveling chair, an LG Blu-Ray DVD player, and a 40″ Samsung flat-screen TV mounted on a forward overhead console.

The galley is equipped with composite countertops, a recessed two-burner propane cooktop, a Sharp convection microwave oven, a dual-basin sink, and a Dometic refrigerator and freezer. A dinette with contoured seating is situated across the walkway. The rear bedroom is outfitted with a bed, a window with curtains, a built-in dresser, a flat-screen TV, audio speakers, and residential-style power outlets. The adjacent bathroom is equipped with a combination tub and enclosed shower, a porcelain toilet, a sink and vanity, and a toiletries cabinet with integrated mirrors.

The 12.1-liter turbocharged Detroit Diesel 8V92 V8 is equipped with a K&N air filter and chrome exhaust stacks that exit through the roof. The turbocharger and fuel pump are said to have been replaced in 2016 under prior ownership, while the chassis batteries were replaced in 2024.
